Losing Her Crowning Glory

When hair loss is mentioned, what comes first in your mind? Most people would say that they would associate the concept of hair loss with men. However, not all people are aware of the fact that even women are prone to experiencing hair loss. Losing hair is common to women, and with greater impact to their self-esteem.

Reasons and cases vary from simple and temporary to the more complicated. Lucinda Ellery reviews some of the causes of hair loss:

Too Much Stress Affects Your Hair

Physical stress could be the more known cause of hair loss, however emotional stress could also lead to it. Emotional stress could be triggered by various things such as experiencing the loss of a loved one, dealing with a close-minded boss at work, financial problems and a lot more.

Family Matters

Hair loss also runs in the blood. Just try to observe the women in your family--if you notice that some or most of them are losing their hair at a certain age, then you might be more prone to female androgenic alopecia.
